Toolpoint Oy is a Finnish family business founded in 1988 in Lahti, and was originally known as Lahden Työklaupiste. Today, we operate in Renkomäki, Lahti, where we serve our customers in-store and through a modern online store.

History
From Vesijärvenkatu to Kiveriö and finally to Renkomäki.
1988: Toolpoint Oy is a Finnish family business that was founded in the spring of 1988 to serve customers in the technical trade. Originally named Lahden Työklaupiste, the store was located on Vesijärvenkatu.
1995: Lahden Työkalupiste moved its store from Vesijärvenkatu to another location on Hirsimetsäntie in Kiveriö, Lahti, where the larger premises enabled the product range to grow.
2004: Toolpoint moved to its current location from Kiveriö. Toolpoint's iconic glass building is centrally located at Laatukatu 1, Renkomäki in Lahti. The new and better premises gave room for product presentation and better customer service.
2007: Toolpoint's store was expanded for the first time. In the expansion, a new wing was added to the building, through which the product selection could be increased.
2013: The second expansion was completed in 2013, which resulted in more store space and storage.
2016: The name was changed from Lahden Työkalupiste to Toolpoint Oy to facilitate internationalization.
2023: In 2023, the third extension to the store was completed. The expansion focused on improving the workwear sales. With the expansion, the workwears could be better displayed, the selection could be expanded and the level of service could be improved.
2024: The updated and modern online store was launched in the summer of 2024. The updated online store includes, among other things, comprehensive product categorizations, products and product information, customer-specific price lists, company profiles and portal, as well as other reforms and improvements.
2026: Toolpoint acts as voestalpine Böhler Welding's logistics service partner
